The Margaret Byrd Rawson Institute highlights the foundational importance of correct alphabetic
sound practice and multisensory letter formation. Below are suggested free practice websites
encouraging students, parents, and teachers to practice proper alphabetic sound practice and
letter formation.
Note: You select either print or cursive letter formation while connecting to the proper sounds.
Be consistent, starting with lowercase and only one letter formation (print or cursive) style at a
time. Cursive is the preferred style yet depends on what the student is required to use in school.
